Because they have two heads, it’s easier to keep track of the babies (that’s when Barf and Belch aren’t arguing with each other, of course), and they do small little headbutts with the babies too. She treats them like her own hatchlings when she’s around them she’s extremely maternal towards any and all hatchlings, but especially Toothless’ ones because they’re friends.īarf and Belch are like the funny uncles who entertain the Night Lights and do tricks that the babies then try to recreate (much to their mother’s frustration). Meatlug seems to have had quite a lot of babies if I remember correctly (I’m sure she did in Gift of the Night Fury), so she’s very affectionate towards the Night Lights and very protective. I like to think that in the Hidden World, the other dragons from the gang are like uncles/aunties to the baby Night Lights.
